General Surgery

Dr Murugappan completed her general surgical training in 2012 and then went on to specialise further in breast and endocrine surgery. She continues to work at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where she regularly handles on call emergencies, from cholecystitis and strangulated hernias to trauma laparotomies. Through her private practice, Dr Murugappan offers laparoscopic cholecystectomies, open hernia repairs, and skin lesion excisions.
