What to Expect
Appointments with Brisbane Comprehensive Breast and Endocrine are held in the Specialist Services Medical Group Rooms in North Lakes and at St Andrews War Memorial Hospital. For address details, parking and travel recommendations, please refer to our Contact page.
We encourage all new patients to arrive 10 minutes prior to their appointment time. You will be greeted by one of our reception staff and asked to fill in some information forms. All information is kept securely and is collected to improve the care we can provide.
A new patient appointment will often last from 30-60minutes, during which time Dr Murugappan will perform an examination and discuss your history and investigation findings in more detail. It is sometimes necessary to have further investigations performed prior to proceeding with management, and if this is the case, Dr Murugappan will arrange these with you as well as a follow-up appointment time.
Where surgery is required, we endeavour to provide you with the information for your operation date during your appointment. The details and the benefits and risks of any operation will be discussed with you, and you will be given the opportunity to ask questions.
With your permission, Dr Murugappan will liaise with your GP and other relevant specialists regarding the outcome of your appointment and details of further management including surgery.
